For the current App Store version 1.2. The upcoming 1.2.1 workspace uses a new dashboard and inspector; see next-update guidance.

Field notes / Guide 03

Prepare for an offline site visit.

A file visible in a cloud folder may still need downloading. Make a local copy and check it before travelling.

  1. While connected, open every required DWG or ASCII DXF in LinePocket. Wait until the drawing is fully prepared.
  2. Check that the relevant plans, labels, and layers are visible. Read and resolve compatibility warnings for the detail you need.
  3. Confirm each drawing appears in Saved Files, then reopen it there.
  4. Sign in with Apple to start the full-app trial, or buy/restore lifetime access, while connected. Complete Apple’s confirmation before leaving. Check that your trial will remain active throughout the visit.
  5. Enable Airplane Mode and reopen the saved drawings. Check navigation and the tools you need on that iPhone.

Keep a backup view

Carry a reference export from the authoring application for critical checks. LinePocket displays supported 2D objects and may omit unsupported content.

Purchasing or restoring requires a connection. Verify your active access and locally saved drawings before an offline visit. Trial access expires at its original verified end date; a new phone or reinstall may require restoration while connected.

Upcoming trial update: all accounts receive 30 days from their original trial start. After expiry, keep opening and viewing drawings and PDFs, reviewing saved measurements, and sharing unchanged originals. Creating or editing measurements, PDF calibration, export, printing, sharing saved exports, and sync between devices require lifetime access. Downloaded files and cloud data are kept. This change is not yet in the version 1.2 App Store download.
