For the current App Store version 1.2. The upcoming 1.2.1 workspace uses a new dashboard and inspector; see next-update guidance.

Field notes / Guide 01

Open a DWG drawing on iPhone.

When a drawing arrives while you are away from your desk, LinePocket’s opening workflow keeps a local copy for reviewing later.

  1. Save the DWG attachment to Files, or open its share sheet and select LinePocket. LinePocket may be under More.
  2. In the main app, tap Open Drawing and select the file. Wait for the local copy and drawing preparation to finish.
  3. Read any import warning. Use Fit, pan, and pinch to inspect the part of the plan you need.
  4. Open Layers and hide distracting layers. Check labels and relevant geometry against the expected drawing.
  5. Return to Saved Files to reopen the local copy later.

If the DWG does not open

Some versions or custom objects may be unsupported. Try a permission-cleared 2D ASCII DXF export from the authoring application. For large drawings, use the main app rather than the Share viewer.

Drawing viewing and tools require an active full-app trial or lifetime purchase. Sign in with Apple to start the seven-day trial. It ends without charging; US$49.99 lifetime access, paid once, is required afterward. Compatibility varies by drawing content.

Upcoming trial update: all accounts receive 30 days from their original trial start. After expiry, keep opening and viewing drawings and PDFs, reviewing saved measurements, and sharing unchanged originals. Creating or editing measurements, PDF calibration, export, printing, sharing saved exports, and sync between devices require lifetime access. Downloaded files and cloud data are kept. This change is not yet in the version 1.2 App Store download.
